Hey it's Tuesday et je suis toute seule. Except for my photographer who dropped in.
Steak sandwich with balsamic peppercorn glaze and garlic mayo .

I toasted the baguette with olive oil - never would have guessed it was 2 days old. I heated up a little of the glaze in a pan and just warmed the meat up in it.
I grilled some red onions in butter and a little salt.
I'm out of mayo - can I be bothered to make some - yes.
How about garlic mayo- this is how easy it is
1 clove garlic pressed
1 egg yolk and a splash of water
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp mustard
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c olive oil - something fruity and not bitter or cut it with a little canola oil
Place yolk, water, mustard, lemon juice, garlic and salt in a bowl and beat with electric beater till doubled in volume - then slowly stream in olive oil while beating till it thickens. Season to taste - a little more of any of the above - I mean salt, mustard, lemon juice, a little white pepper. Or for that matter anything that strikes you as a good addition....
Put all together- garlic mayo spreads on baguette, glazed meat and onions a little more balsamic peppercorn sauce - Very good.
