Fresh start
So here I am again- going to make a fresh start and make a go of regular entries!
I'd like to share our first dinner at the café. Last Sat. night we hosted a fundraiser dinner that was a lot of fun!
It was a sit down for only 12 guests, making for a very intimate gathering with friends who helped serve.

We started with an oyster shooter with a lemon lime granité in grey goose vodka for the amuse bouche. First course was a cream of sorrel soup with creme fraîche. The fresh sorrel was given to us by Mimi at Morningstar Farms. Thanks Mimi-
We paired Henry Bourgeois' 03 Sancerre, Jadis with the first courses and an 05 W. Fevre French Chablis.
The soup was followed by tuna tartare topped with shaved fennel salad.
Then to cleanse the palatte, benedictine sorbet.
Thanks Odie and Trina for bringing this group together......

We then served a premier cote d'agneau persillade. Frenched lamb chops with a parsley/herb crust served with a jerusalem artichoke pureé, roasted chokes, asparagus tips and baby carrots.
With the main plate we paired an 03 Chateauneuf de Pape and an 01 Saint Joseph.
Next was a selection of four cheeses followed by a pisachio semifreddo with ameretto creme anglaise, chocolate sauce and candied pistachios.
The last little nibble was a trio of chocolate ganache- lime essence, passionfruit, conception 64% straight up.
The evening was thouroghly enjoyed by all- those eating and preparing and serving.
Thanks to Anita and Leslie for coming to me with the idea. And thanks to Annie for donating her time in the kitchen and to Loren, Jen, Dan and Grace for being such great servers. And thanks Connie for the pics!

Just wanted to let you know that I had a wonderfull brunch this afternoon 7-01-07. I've come by earlier in the season, and you have not yet opened, Im glad that you are now!!! I will definetly refer our guest to your wonderfull restaurant.

5 star presentation on the plate and palate! We drove up from Marin County, Ca. to visit our daughter at Four Winds camp, and the camp administrator said Chez Chloe is the best on the island! That was an understatement...its some of the finest cuisine we've had anywhere in the world. Congratulations Wendy.
